Un année

This was 2011

January

Time spent indoors from the cold, brunch with Alyssa, a shoot in a pool, Jenni in her home, and Adam skating on the Ottawa river.

February

Wandering in Audrey's studio's building, shooting for her fall line, Ovate. Adam left for the desert.

March

I was stranded in Maine under feet of snow, we went ice fishing, I shot with Chloe in Montreal, got together with my old friend Emily, and waited for spring with Jenni.

April

We celebrated Scotty's birthday, another shoot with Chloe, and Lea, and I traveled to the coast, to San Francisco where I stayed with photographer friends Shelbie Dimond and Alex Shahmiri. One of the best months, but still with some sadness coming home to an empty apartment.

May

The first signs of summer. Montreal starts to look up in May, the sun starts shining a little brighter, old friends come to visit.

June

We went to Aylmer, lit sparklers and swam in the ice cold river. I had a shoot in the forest, one of my favorites so far. Jenni had a party on the stoop, Jill Wilcott came to the city, and Amanda, Laurence and I shot at a school.

July

Montreal becomes a sauna in July, the hottest month. Everyone migrates to the park with picnics, booze, and instruments. The last ode to the Lincoln apartment where we spent probably the best years of our lives. Back to Aylmer where I photographed my nephew, father, and sister. And finally a shoot with Leah, and an editorial for Tarantula Sisters.

August

A walk with Katai at LaFontaine, the launch part at Fattal, and Adam's last visit.

September

I tested my first Leica, had my 21st birthday, and continued photographing for my final photography project.

October

We spent time in the studio as the days got shorter and colder, I went back to Aylmer for Thanksgiving. Amanda and I headed to Ottawa to stay with Jen and Derek, and I had a lovely shoot with Vero.

November

More time indoors, drinking away the cold. More work for school, Audrey running around in St. Henri (she handled the cold just for photos). And lastly I shot Erika for an interview.

  December

The last leg of work, and finally freedom. A week spent in Aylmer and another in Calgary.

That was 2011. Let's hope 2012 brings us happiness, opportunities, and time with loved ones. Wishing everyone a happy new year.
xx
